Tornado

As the tornado was raging last night, I had three thoughts: 

• if it hits our house, the house is toothpicks (we live in an old house). 
• The second thought was to check and make sure my family knew they should take shelter in the basement (they did, without argument).
• Finally, I thought that the tornado with all its force is not stronger than my God who holds me in his hand ~

What is Tim Tebow doing?

I've been watching Tebow mania sweep across the land lately.  It has caused me to ask the question. "What is Tim Tebow doing"? Don't get me wrong... I applaud him and the stand that he is taking and how he proclaims his faith.  We, however, need to be careful not to worship him.  Only God deserves our worship.  I'm sure He would tell you that (or at least he should).  Having said that, what he is doing that any of us as Christians (those who identify with Christ) can't do? I want to suggest and challenge my fellow believers that he is doing nothing more or less than what God expects from each of us...  not to be ashamed of the gospel of Christ and to share his faith in his arena.  Our arena may be different and not as visible, but God expects the same thing from each of us as believers as he does from Tebow.  So I want to encourage everyone who calls the Lord as their Savior, to follow this example and not be afraid to proclaim Jesus and call on Jesus in their arena wherever that may be that God has placed you.
