It all started when my daughter came home from a visit with her beau sporting an engagement ring. She then proceeded to tell us that they were planning on being married in October. That was approximately three months away. Shortly after that; my neck started hurting. Sometimes it would inflict pain so bad that I could not move my neck without receiving a jolt of pain. I tried everything; I took pain killers, rubbed it with creams, prayed all to no avail. The pain remained. Some days were worse than others, but it seemed like this pain in the neck was here to stay. I am not one to go the doctors, so I tried to deal with it on my own. Weeks flew, and it was time for the wedding. The wedding was beautiful. The next morning, when I woke up, the pain in my neck had subsided. It was like there had never been any pain there at all. I could move my neck in any direction with no discomfort at all. What I could not correct with medication was corrected in hours. I am now completely convinced that the ache was stress related. When the cause of the stress was remedied (my daughter’s wedding), the pain was also gone. Hmm now I wonder about the other pain in my neck…. Nah I still love him.
